Correct prop size and pitch

I own a 1996 226 fundeck with 1996 mercury 115hp. I purchased it about 7 years ago from the original owner. Last year I had to replace the prop and the one I took off was destroyed beyond recognition. I searched through the Mercury website and purcahsed a 3 Blade Aluminum 13.75" dia. X 13" pitch SR and the boat will not plane out and the motor seems to be struggling. How do I find the correct prop for this motor and boat?

you need a smaller diameter prop 13 or 13.25 or a 150 h p engine. An 11 inch pitch might over rev the engine.
