Not sure of drain plug size?

I have a 2012 188 Sundeck Sport and I'd like to get a spare drain plug.  The most common size online appears to be 1/2".  I measured the threads and they are 3/4", but the square nut is 1/2".  I assume I'm looking for a 3/4" drain plug?  I would have thought whatever the Hurricane takes would be really common since there's so many of them out there.  I found this, is it correct?

Thanks!

Most of the plugs are 1/2" NPT thread wihich is a standard pipe thread.

So am I wrong in my assumption that mine is 3/4" since that is what it measures?  Is measuring the diameter across the threads the wrong method to figure out the correct size?

A 1/2 " pipe thread will measure a little over 3/4". Pipe is measure by the inside dia.

I have a 2005 Hurricane FD 201GS... looking for a replacement nylon plug. I initially bought a standard 1" plug, but of course it is too big.  The 1/2" thread may work, but even from contacting a couple dealers, I can't seem to find a replacement plug.  I really did not want to have to replace the existing housing/receiver that is already on, and sealed well, on the boat.  Any advice on how to find a replacement plug to fit?
