Transom Height vs motor shaft length

I own a RE226 that the manufacture says has a 20 inch transom height. The Yamaha 115 that came with the boat has a 25 inch shaft length. I also have a Yamaha 150 20 inch shaft I would like to put on the 226 but want to be sure I will be deep enough in the water. The boat and motor are 3.5 hours away so it is not practical to go measure. I am looking for some one with experience with a 20 inch shaft length on a Hurricane Deck boat. Thanks Steve
