I have a 2009 237 Sundeck which I had from new.
I have just been told that the fuel tank has slipped in its fitting and pierced a hole in the tank !!
They say it was only covered under a 12 month warranty !! this sort of thing should be good for the life of the boat. How can you only warranty a fuel tank for 12 months? its not the easy to replace sort of every day thing is it !!
I now have to have the floor cut out to remove the tank, fit new tank and then repair the fiberglass floor and repaint/ The cost around $4800 and 3 to 5 weeks to do the job???
Has any one else ever heard of this happening? I surely would not expect this to happen in a three year old boat.
