Fresh Water Pump 2011 Sundeck 2000 (Blowing Port out of pump housing when turned on)

I am having an issue in which the port on the Fresh Water Pump is blowing out of the Pump housing when you turn the pump on and then pumping water into the Bilge area. The hose is still connected to the male adapter which plugs into the pump housing. It appears to be some type of quick disconnect but, I'm not sure as the access is very tight. The pump in located via a hatch in front of the rear transom/outboard motor
Has anyone else experienced this and....... Would a new port work or would the pump have to be replaced?
