Ski Tow Bar detached 2017 SS188

Our first season on the water with a brand new ss188 last year. The tow bar broke away from the inside hull while pulling a skier.  The bar was securely bolted to a piece of plywood which was glued to the transom with no bolts. Our dealer repaired securely with stainless bolts on a larger block. Not sure if something was missed in production or if this is the standard for a fixed bar.  Check your setup before you ski!

Otherwise we are very happy with the boat and our NH dealer is fantastic!

Nope, unfortunately this is standard.  Glad you have a good dealer to fix quality control problems from Godfrey,
