starting the motor Hurricane 231 2016

My boat has been on a lift all summer and I forgot something in the starting of it.  I could get the motor to turn but it never fired.  I turned on the battery.  Then turned on the fuel line to the motor (single valve - are there 2?), prime the ball with fuel, put the motor flat, put it in neutral, push the key in and turn.  Doesn't start.  Anyone have a suggestion?

Had someone look at it.  The kill switch was bad.  All fixed.
