Docking light replacement 2001 217SD

So I have a broken docking light caused by the cover to the front ladder cover repeatedly hitting the light on opening. I assume therefore that the lights are not original.
I want to take this opportunity to replaced this with LED lights. Can anyone tell me whether these would work?

I put this one on my 2004. Only requires 2 wires. I just capped the 3rd wire. Measure your hole before you buy a light. I had to return 2 different lights before I found one that would fit the way I wanted it too. I ended up drilling new holes.
