prop size and speed 201gs

I was wondering what prop size anyone is using. i have a 2004 fundeck, I/O 5.0. 201 GS. carb. (305) GM engine. s outdrive with 1.60 gear. Im loosing about 400 RPM and thinking i might have screwed up prop size. although from what i hear the one im using is correct. 14.5 x 19. If i went to a 17 pitch i could probably reach 4800 but would that give me more speed? what speed is anyone else getting with this setup? I can get about 40/42. thats about it, but i'm also only getting about 4200/4400 rpm. thanks
