I just purchased an SS 231 and take delivery in about a week. Has anyone installed an "in-hull transducer" (aka "shoot thru the hull") on their Hurricane? The transducer can only send its signal through 100% fiberglass. Are the bottoms of Hurricanes all fiberglass or do they have a wood or foam core? Any insight would be appreciated.

I didn't install it, but that is the type of transducer that came on my Hurricane, so I guess that means the hull is the type that will work for the "shoot thru" transducer.
The only thing I don't like about this type of transducer is that it will not show water temperature.2010 Hurricane 2100 (217) Sun Deck

Thank you for the response. That's what I was hoping for because my previous boat had a transom mounted transducer and it wouldn't work on plane.2014 SS 231 w/ Yamaha F250
