I have a hurricane 188 0B with a 150 e tech. I would like to add smart tabs but I'm worried I will lose top end speed. Could someone please tell me their experience with the same boat getting the smart apps.

Got them on my 217 OB, which is just slightly longer than the 188, and love them.  They are designed to be adjustable so that you should not lose any speed.  In fact, that is one of the ways that you know that you need to adjust them if you notice a speed loss.  The instructions show how to move the actuator up or down the bracket if you have a speed loss or other issues.  I lost a few mph on my boat with the standard setup.  It took several adjustments to get them just right, so that I was back to my top speed.
