Has anyone done this on a FD 226F OB?? Boat has bimini from factory which is very solid & quali construction; thicker square aluminum frame vs. thinner round stainless. Also, how do you connect the 2 tops together; zipper or other?? Suggestions and Tips/Tricks or Lessons learned are appreciated.

Saw a guy with one on aSweetwater Deck boat. He had ordered a second factory model so that they looked identical and used a zipper to connect them.  It was unweildy above about 15mph but it was easy to lower so no biggie.  Also he lamented having not installed it so that when folded down it landed squarely on the front rails.  It did look great and provided nearly 20 feet of shade.  Pretty cool in my book.
