Fundeck 246 Intermittent depth gauge issue

We have a 1996 Hurricane Fundeck 246 and just started having an intermittent issue with the Lowrance digital depth gauge. When the ignition switch is in the accessory position the gauge appears to always work. It is after you start the engine and it is running that the depth gauge sometimes just goes blank. Has anyone else seen this issue and know the fix?
