    187 OB Cover(s)

Hello, just purchased a new 187 OB and am awaiting delivery.  I live in Orlando and have a question about covering it to protect the boat.  Obviously it comes with a cover however I was thinking about using a different (larger) cover with vents to help keep moisture out.

The boat will not be "winterized" so to speak because its boat season almost all year round and it will sit for only a few weeks at a time (at most) between uses.

However I will not be able to keep it under covered storage because there is a long wait list around where I live, so it will be kept outside.

Anyone have any success using a larger cover with vents vs. using the standard cover to keep mildew away?

    Thanks in advance
