2007 Huuricane 202 deck boat

My top speed is about 22 mph. How can I get more out of a 150 hp Mercury optimax 2 stroke?

You'll need to know the RPMs at Wide Open Throttle (WOT) that you get 22MPH at.

Then you'll need to find out the maximum RPMs rated for that engine.

Finally you'll need to know your prop specs.  I'll assume at 22MPH you can change the prop for better speed as it most likely isn't hitting its maximum RPMs.

I have a similar size boat with a SS188 and hit 53MPH with a 200HP Optimax and would guess at min you should be running close to mid to high 30s.

If you find that you're prop'd and at max RPMs, then you will most certainly be investigating why your engine isn't producing proper HP.
