What is the diameter of the side rail tubing on my Hurricane Sundeck Sport F231

what is the rail diameter on my SS231 side rails for mounting rod holders for cat fishing - Bass Pro has either 1" clamps but they look too large.  To clamp the side rail tubing, I was thinking about lining with electrical tape so not to scour the tubing too bad and possibly get a better grip
