I have a new 2014 201 Sun Deck Sport and need a trailer. What kind of trailer do I need?

I will store the boat on the trailer but no plans to travel far from lake,

Thanks, Tom in VT

Tom, you didn't mention OB or I/O, which have a wet weight of 4001 and 4644 lbs respectively.

Your local State law will dictate, but in most places, anything over 3000 lbs you'll need brakes (surge or electric) and with those weights, a dual axle trailer.

If you're into saltwater, lots of folks prefer the galvanized frames.

And, again some folks prefer rollers, others bunks.  I personally prefer the bunks simply because once I load it wet, as I pull from launch and its a little off center, I pull it a 100 ft or so away from it and the wet bunks allow it to self center before I strap it down.
